  1. Peisianakteios: the "Stoa Poikile" was also named after his sponsor, Peisianax, maybe Kimon's brother-in-law (see texts 113, 116; Wycherley 1957, p. 45; Davies 1971; p.377-378; Shear 1984, p. 17-19; Camp 1992, p. 66-74; Camp 2007, p. 649-651).

  2. This renaming is also mentioned in text 148, in Souda s.v. Basileios and in a scholion to Aeschines, III (Ctesiphon), 184 and Demosthenes, XX (Leptines), 112 : "The stoa was called Peisianakteios after Peisianax who founded it, Poikile after the painting of Marathon etc."(Wycherley 1957, (10), p. 35).
